as you may have noticed, i specialise in black and white photography, in the early days of photography, photographers had no choice but to take photos in black and white, in 1936 colour photography was introduced, but black and white photograpy was still interesting, to this day it is important in the art of photography

Polish Easter Basket

Easter is a traditional celebration, and is of course celebrated in many different ways in many countries of the World. I find Polish Easter traditions very interesting, they are very different from British and American traditions (you can research more for yourself). In a Polish Easter Basket, that Polish people take to the church on the Saturday you can find Sausage, Bread, Salt and Pepper, Eggs and something sweet like chocolates or a slice of cake. The basket is usually decorated with bright colours and a small cloth underneath the food, and another one covering it. I thought i'd show you what it looks like, just because as a photographer I should show everything around me, so I hope you like it, I apologise for some objects in the background that you might see (maybe washing-up liquid) as the photos were taken in my kitchen :)

beautiful Toruń

i wanted to show you more of the city of Toruń, im not going to go into much about history of the city or where the name came from because you can look that up yourself if you want to.

the first photo is Toruń's Coat of Arms illustrated on a post in front of a carpark.

this next photo shows a statue of Mikołaj Kopernik, a famous astronomer from Toruń, the statue is located in the city center.

the photo below shows a part of Bulwar Filadelfijski which is a long boulevard along the Vistula River

the photo underneath is a photo of a Church in a really beautiful place near Toruń called Kaszczorek, it is a small village bordering with the City of Toruń.

in the back of this photo, you can see a bridge over the Vistula (pol. Wisła) River, the bridge was built in 1934 but was bombed twice during World War 2, then got re-built in 1950. So it is an old bridge but one of the most beautiful ones in Poland, the bridge is in Toruń, that is also where this photo was took, I love that place with all my heart, Toruń is by far the most beautiful city i have ever been in, wait until you see more photos from there :)

these are more photos from the garden in Dobrzyca, if you have not yet seen the picture of the pink flower go see that first, these photos are different from one another and from the photos i usually take and i really like trying out something new everyday

i took this picture in summer 2013 in a place in Poland called Dobrzyca.. there is a massive garden there with loads of really beautiful flowers and other plants, so while i was walking about the garden i saw this plant and thought that it was really pretty, this is one of my favourite pictures from that place, so if you are ever in Poland on holiday, i highly recommend that place.

This time, I'm taking you up into the air. These photos were obviously taken from the window on a plane, if I could, I would put up massive copies of these photos on my walls, I hope you like them as much as I do :)
